The history of village called Bolshie Koty (Big Cats)

Actually all the cats here are normal sized and the name of the village means "Big Boots" rather then "Big cats". In the times of tzar's Russia, escaped prisoners used to come to this village. Here they could change their prison clothes and shoes, that were called "cats", they also could get rid of the prison's handcuffs and start a new life.

In the symbolic meaning this place was the point where you could liberate yourself from the past and leave it behind for good.

The nature around is clean and pure and when being here you feel and see yourself as a part of it.
